SEW-Eurodrive Drive Technology Center | Architecture, Light and Innovation

The new SEW-Eurodrive Drive Technology Center is approaching its final stage of construction, entering a phase in which architecture, light and corporate identity begin to interact in an increasingly evident way. With the installation of the last of the 175 façade fins now completed, the building fully defines its dynamic and recognizable character. Designed as a continuous and vibrant architectural element, the fins accompany the main volume and reveal the three large SEW-red portals, currently nearing completion and destined to become the project’s distinctive feature. Particular attention has been dedicated to the lighting design, developed together with Viabizzuno to enhance the building’s presence even during nighttime hours. Following the lighting alignment tests carried out in recent weeks, the installation of 174 projectors is now underway. These fixtures will vertically illuminate the fins along their entire height, while integrated LED strips will trace the sinuous profile of the portals, reinforcing their architectural and scenographic impact. The interior spaces already clearly express the vision behind the new production and office hub. The production area, extending over more than 4,000 sqm and characterized by a jointless industrial flooring system, has been completed and is ready to accommodate the new technologies. The office spaces, developed around a triple-height central hall of approximately 500 sqm, are now entering the final finishing stages: glazed walkways, panoramic glass elevators and the cantilevered steel staircase contribute to defining a fluid, open and strongly recognizable environment. The delivery of the entire building is scheduled by the end of the month, together with the beginning of the furniture installation phase. In parallel, external works dedicated to the scenographic lighting system and the completion of the south and east outdoor areas are continuing, with completion expected during the summer months. The project embodies a contemporary vision of industry, where architecture, technological innovation and the quality of the working experience converge to shape a new model of productive space.
